I Turnt Twenty!

i was going to write about the quarter-life crisis i am currently experiencing... but instead i'll just tell you all about the fun times i had last week when i decided to turnt twenty! :)

Thursday my friend Marissa and I took the day off and headed to Lagooooonnn!!!! Oh my heck we had such a blast! It was her present to me for my birthday :) From the roller coasters and soaking wet rides to the fun people we got to hang with- it was awesome! But amongst all the awesome-ness, there was one specific event that stands out...

...so we were headed to eat dinner, but as we passed the jet star ride we decided we could fit in one last coaster. As there was some confusion with sitting arrangements (you have to have 2 people to a seat- one straddling the other), we ended up fitting 7 college-sized bodies into one little car. It was a struggle to get us going at first, but then we slowly began climbing up the spiral tracks. Very slowly. And then even more slowly. And before we knew it, we were going so slow that we came to a hault. We all started laughing and looked around to see if this was part of the ride or just a fat joke at our expense. It wasn't long before the skinny italian teenager came running up and started to try and push the car. Skinny italian vs. 7 college students. Not happenin. Long story- short: We were stuck on the ride for like 45 minutes, me sitting in the straddle of some guy i just met (he was great so it wasn't too bad haha), talking about how we just wanted to go get our dinner! it's not every day that you get stuck on a Lagoon ride. They finally let us climb out and walk down the ride after which we had to fill out paper work and sprint over to grab whatever food was left. (Which luckily there was plenty, delish dinner!) And that was my fun Lagoon experience!!

The second half of my day was spent with my Jones family! I raced from Farmington to Salt Lake to Provo all within and hour an a half! But it was totally worth it! We went to see I Am Jane at the Covey Center and WOW it was great. I seriously cried thru the whole thing... it just really reminded me what our ancestors went thru so that we c0uld enjoy such luxurious blessings! Very touching. And i love family time so basically that was perfect as well!

I heart Jette!

The girls that i love so dearly!

James has this thing... with thinking that sunglasses are too big... who knows. And that was the end of Thursday!

Friday was bday bbq day! So most of the day was spent cleaning and weeding and planting my little garden. Everything turned out perfectly and I got to be with the greatest people in the West!
*Special thanks to momma bear for making this happen!

Hairstyle #1 and #2...

BBQ FUN!

It was a HUGE success and i felt very lucky to have so may wonderful people there!

Saturday was my actual birthday! And my amazing mom got me a GPS SYSTEM FOR MY CAR!!! WAHOOO!!!! (note: this is more of a safety pre-caution than anything. If you have ever been in the car with me, you understand.)

It was mostly a lazy day up until we went to dinner at Texas. Yummm!

That night, Niecie and tal and mahself went to see fireworks and watched No Reservations to end the awesome birthday weekend!

Thanks for all those loving people that had part in my turnting twenty! I am eternally grateful for all of you!

JaLLi goes to St. George!

Wednesday night, Mom, Gordi, Talli and I all headed down to St. George for a fabulous weekend! And what a fabulous weekend it was! Of course we had to document it in pictures... so here ya go!

The adventures began Wednesday night when we arrived. 95 degrees at midnight??? Yes, please.

Thursday morning, we woke up bright and early to exercise before the heat wave hit. The only problem: St. George summer is one BIG heat wave. So after some delicious crepes, the pool was all too necessary.

After we were all pooled out, we wanted to surprise our bff Tuna!
The surprise part failed... but we still got to see her and go for a scenic drive :) It was also nice to shower and get ready for the day.

... and when the sun went down it was time for a movie. One of my faves: Dear John.

zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Friday morning we woke up not so early and headed to the pool.

But it wasn't long before we had a better offer from miss tune!
She took us down a loonnnggg bUmPy dirt road and before we knew it we were playing in the waterfalls!!!

It was such a BLAST! We loved every second and completely fell in love with the most perfect couple EVER! After, we went for snowies! sooo great.
Then we headed home for a little R and R, but Texas was calling. I don't have pictures from this night yet... but hopefully will soon. Lets just say it was fantastic. The rest of the night we text our hott waiter and drove around aimlessly trying to find our way home after stopping off at redbox and being checked out by ten year olds.

Saturday was a lazy day. We didn't get going until mid afternoon. But that was kinda nice PLUS we had a 9 course breakfast. So then we headed out to tennis... also pics i have yet to upload. And an amazing video! Afterwards, we jumped in the refreshing pool and hung out there for a bit. Then we watched The Time Travelers Wife and WOW we are like obsessed with it now! Soooo good. After, we showered and headed to The Pizza Factory!

And there you have it! I don't know why my words are being underlined all of a sudden... but we'll work with it. Anyway- a few other fun events included: discovering New Spice parody by BYU, nasty Thai dessert, staying awake thru Only You, breaking the news to Talli about having to live the honor code, going to church with our fave married couple, and playing molly maid. Special thanks to:
Talli Hottie- i love you so dearly and can't wait to live together next year! thanks for being such an incredible friend for 8 long glorious years! We have many good times ahead of us.

Tune & Kirk- you gave us something to talk about each night: how perfect you two are! We literally fell in love with you guys all over again and had SUCH a good time!!! Thank you thank you for being so wonderful!

Mom & Gordi - this trip wouldn't have been possible without you guys. Gord- the st. george house is always a treat to stay in. Mom- you played maid all weekend and, even tho you didn't have to, we TRULY appreciated it! Thank you guys for funding this trip and letting us come and go as we pleased while slipping money into my inside out shorts.

That trip was sooo fun! Thank You all!!!

xoxo miss jer bree
